Open Research Fellowship Application Checklist

Please apply by emailing: a completed Expression of Interest form before 3pm on Friday 24 October 2025 to openresearch@manchester.ac.uk

Checklist

  1. Attend the online information session [TBC] week commencing 29 September 2025. (Optional) 
  2. Read Open Research Fellowship Programme information in full.
  3. Decide on project topic and download Expression of Interest form.
  4. Discuss with your Head of School / Service:
    • Are they able to support an application at this time?
    • Are you able to balance this Fellowship with existing commitments?
  5. Complete all sections of Expression of Interest form.
  6. Obtain Head of School / Service signature for Expression of Interest form ahead of submission.
  7. Email completed and signed Expression of Interest form as a word.docx to: openresearch@manchester.ac.uk by the deadline.

Next steps

A shortlisting panel will consider all Expressions of Interest submitted by the deadline, and candidates whose proposals are shortlisted will then be called to an interview in late November.
